Refurbish not replace

A traditional building gets a lesson in contemporary design
Mr & Mrs S live in a converted old school house. With beautiful rafters in the vaulted ceilings this old school had tons of character, it just needed a little modern flair. Our brief was to refresh and refurbish the kitchen without incurring the cost of replacing the whole kitchen carcass, floor & wall tiles.
We transformed their kitchen-diner and utility area, with cream painted wooden cabinets complimented by elements of stainless steel and black. We removed the enclosed breakfast bar area and installed a peninsula unit, custom building angled cabinets at the entrance to the kitchen. We freshened up the utility, hiding the laundry appliances in a made to measure cupboard space with worktop above for folding and ironing! Finally, the utility cupboards house a floor standing boiler and the worktop is removable for easy service access.
The room is transformed, brighter, lighter and feels larger as a result of the light coloured doors, contrasting with slate coloured laminate worktops and under cabinet lighting.
They were so delighted, the wrote us a letter to say thank you! Click here to go to our client feedback page.
